John Batchelor and I welcomed back Dr. Jim Logan to discuss telemedicine history which he helped pioneer with astronauts, Apollo, and the ISS.  We talked about how that telemedicine space history happened, then its growing acceptance in the mainstream, especially due to the pandemic.  Jim talked about older doctors resisting due to not being that familiar or comfortable with computers and technology but today with younger medical professionals, many are more at ease with the technology than with face to face patient visits.  We talked about the future of telemedicine, additional tools now available for consumers, most of which came to us through the space program.  This was a one segment ten minute Hotel Mars program.  Note that Jim will be returning to The Space Show for a more complete telemedicine discussion plus a look at why space is so critical to our future with a full program on Tuesday, June 23.  Put it on your schedules.
